November 2011 – Peloton Advantage at ISMPP European Meeting
The International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) held its 2011 annual European meeting, “Trends, Transparency, and Trust: From Insights to Action,” November 15–16, 2011, in Alderley Park, Cheshire, UK. Peloton Advantage President Carolyn S. Clark, MBA, and Chief Scientific Officer Michael J. McLaughlin, MD, attended the meeting, demonstrating the company’s continued efforts to enhance its global publication planning expertise. Topics included ethics, compliance, and increased transparency in medical publications, and ISMPP’s role in providing information and education to build public trust in the pharmaceutical industry. Also discussed was the 2011 launch of the EU Clinical Trials Register, which will provide public access to protocol-related information for selected trials from the European Union Drug Regulating Authorities Clinical Trials database (EudraCT).
