Ms. Clark’s contributions to the field of medical communications, charitable community outreach, and mentorship of women in the medical communications field led to her successful nomination. Of her advocacy for women, Ms. Clark states: “There is always an internal struggle for women to be the best in their careers and at home. As a business owner, I feel fortunate to create a work environment that makes the work-life balance a priority.”
Ms. Clark has dedicated 15 of her 20 years in the field of medical communications to the business of strategic publication planning. In 2004, she was asked to join the Steering Committee and help develop the mission and guiding principles of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP). Ms. Clark’s professional journey culminated in 2005 with the formation of Peloton Advantage with Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder Michael J. McLaughlin, MD.
Ms. Clark is actively involved in charitable community outreach programs such as the Lymphoma and Leukemia Foundation’s annual Team in Training event, local food banks, and nonprofit organizations such as Hudson Cradle, which provides care to homeless infants/border babies with special health and developmental needs, and New Jersey Battered Women’s Shelter.
Over the past 15 years, Ms. Clark has hired and mentored over 50 women in the medical communications industry, and she successfully promotes a strong work-life balance at Peloton Advantage. Ms. Clark is currently spearheading the development of a network of past Alfred University Women’s Soccer alumni to support the current class of student athletes through fundraising, networking, career development internships, and job placement.
